If, to you, “developing business” means more than sending three (3) LinkedIn messages and then declaring the market dead, you might be the right person.
At WowProduction, the video production company within the WowHaus Group, we're looking for a Business Producer / Account.
In other words, someone with a commercial mindset who also thinks like an account manager. But not the kind of person whose first question is how many thousands of euros we should spend on advertising. We've got that covered.
We're looking for someone who knows how to build relationships, spot opportunities, interpret a brief, understand whether a project makes sense, shape a proposal together with the team, and ultimately win the work.
Today, WowProduction primarily works on corporate video productions, social media content, event coverage, branded content, and integrated communication projects, often developed in collaboration with the group's communication agency, WowSolution. They're pretty good.
Over the past few years, we've built strong expertise in the events industry, particularly in the premium and luxury sectors: launch campaigns, event coverage, corporate events, and projects involving international brands and high-profile contexts.
What You Should Do
If you want to. If not, no.
We even had a meeting about this, so read this list with the respect that a list born from a meeting and a debrief deserves:
- Develop new business opportunities for WowProduction.
- Search for and establish contacts with brands, agencies, event agencies, PR agencies, companies, businesses in the hospitality, luxury, fashion, beverage, entertainment, and corporate sectors.
- Help us build a sensible commercial pipeline, because "let's see what comes in" is not a strategy, it's meteorology.
- Open conversations with potential clients in Italy and abroad.
- Promote our portfolio, especially in premium events, corporate videos, branded content, reportage, and social-first productions.
- Understand clients' briefs.
- Collaborate with the creative and production team to build proposals, quotations, and presentations.
- Manage the commercial relationship, especially in the early stages, from the first contact to the proposal, all the way through to closing.
- Help build clear packages and offers for events, corporate videos, aftermovies, social content, interviews, campaigns, and recurring formats.
- Keep track of contacts, follow-ups, negotiations, and opportunities using shared tools, instead of relying on Monday morning emotional memory (nothing).
- Bring method, rhythm, and direction to business development.
Who You Should Be
Hopefully.
We're looking for someone who has already worked in sales, account management, production, business development, or project management within creative and production environments.
Like these:
- Video production companies;
- Communication agencies;
- Event agencies;
- PR agencies;
- Branded content;
- Advertising;
- Corporate communication;
- Luxury, fashion, hospitality, beverage, or entertainment.
We're looking for someone who understands what it means to sell a video production: timelines, budgets, crew, locations, permits, post-production, revisions, delivery, the client's anxieties, the team's anxieties, your own anxieties.
You don't necessarily need to know how to edit, shoot, or make TikTok reels.
But you do need to know what you're selling.
Requirements
Still lower than the ones for GTA IV.
- Previous experience in sales, account management, production, business development, or project management roles in creative/production environments.
- Knowledge of the video, communication, events, or branded content industry.
- Ability to manage a commercial negotiation.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, and partners.
- Good written and spoken English. Fluent, preferably. You don't need to recite Shakespeare, but at least avoid "ui meic veri emoscional video for your beautiful compani."
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A genuine commercial attitude, not just "I like talking to people."
- Ability to work towards goals.
- Familiarity with presentations, quotations, CRM, spreadsheets, follow-ups, and all those not-so-poetic things that nevertheless make companies exist.
- Autonomy, method, and a certain commercial hunger.
- Ability to work with creatives, producers, videomakers, editors, account managers, and clients.
We Like You Even More If
Or "Nice to have," just to sound cool (no).
- You already have a useful network of contacts.
- You know how to open doors. Not literally—we can do that ourselves.
- You have direct experience working with clients, agencies, or brands.
- You know how to speak with Italian and international stakeholders.
- You have experience with international clients or markets outside Italy.
- You have an understanding of the premium, events, luxury, corporate, and branded content world.
- You have already sold video productions, campaigns, social content, or corporate projects.
- You know how to build real relationships without relying on divine providence.
- You know how to recognize a business opportunity and understand whether it's worth pursuing or whether it's better to run away.
- You know how to sell quality without underselling it.
- You know how to contribute to building commercial offers and production packages.
- You have a certain visual culture, which doesn't mean you've been to the cinema once in the last three years to watch *Dune*.
- You know how to understand when a project is interesting and when it's just another "great opportunity for your company."
Every job posting has what the company is looking for.
We also write what we're not looking for.
- We're not looking for someone who "helps us out every now and then."
- We're not looking for someone who is purely a sales back-office figure, or a quote maker.
- We're not looking for someone who waits for leads to arrive already warm, nicely scented, and with the budget already approved.
- We're not looking for someone who thinks new business means sending a PDF and then disappearing.
- We're not looking for someone who promises the client anything and then leaves the production team to end up like Season 8 of Game of Thrones: a disaster.
What We Offer
In a few simple steps, like IKEA furniture:
- A position at WowProduction, the video production company of the WowHaus Group.
- A creative, dynamic, and growing environment.
- The opportunity to contribute directly to the company's business development.
- Projects in the corporate, events, luxury, branded content, social, and special productions sectors.
- Opportunities to work with international clients and collaborations.
- An arrangement to be defined based on experience: employment, structured collaboration, or a progressive growth path.
- A team that knows how to produce (we promise).
- Still water. We have a fridge.
- Hybrid or fully remote work (you do have a webcam, right?).
- Fixed compensation in the range of €1,000–€2,000.
- Variable compensation linked to business results.
Note That We'd Rather Tell You Upfront Why Yes
We're looking for someone who wants to build a real commercial function for WowProduction.
Not someone who comes in, makes two calls, says "I think you should position yourselves better," and then disappears, leaving us with an English buzzword.
If you have experience, contacts, method, production awareness, and the desire to help grow an ambitious production company, send us your CV and a brief introduction. But put in the same effort we put into this job posting.
This job posting is very long, but at least now you know what we're talking about.
